First, I'd like to welcome you to this fun community section to my website. I'm glad you've decided to register!
Before posting anything, please take the time and read through everything on this post. You'll have an idea on what's to be expected of you to stay a member.
Guidelines to Being a Good Member of This Community
1. Don't be a jerk. Don't try to be a smart-aleck around the rules either. Be considerate and respectful as you can towards the other members who join. If you've come around to troll, that's discouraged. This is a place intended to be as stress free as possible. Harassing others, including forum staff will only get you seen in a negative light.
2. Spam and useless posts are not needed. It would be a good community if we could keep that to a minimum. One word posts should be avoided. When creating a topic, be sure to put in at least one sentence. When replying, reply with at least one sentence. Multiple posts of spam will get you a warning. Repeating to do so after being warned will result to getting banned.
3. Don't bug me, or the moderators to be modded. Running a message forum is a very responsible and time consuming task! Not only this, but I have to know a person well enough to trust when assisting me to keep order to the community, even when I'm not around. Please consider that.
5. If there's a problem you cannot resolve with another player in a civil manner on the boards, PM me, a mod, or just take this elsewhere. Let's not try to pick fights. Cyber bullying is mean and immature, not something that's encouraged.
6. When advertising or sharing your own creative and original works, please do not flood the board with multiple threads about it. Other people may want to share their things, too! Be considerate and smart about that. Don't do it just to annoy me or other members of staff.
7. Have fun! I'd like this to be a friendly, and positive community. Quirky personalities are okay, as long as it's nothing that will really annoy or offend anyone.
Here's a list of things that just won't be welcome anywhere on here. Some of these may result to you being banned without getting a warning level first.
-Plagarism. Whatever you submit that isn't yours, you shouldn't claim it as yours. If the owner of a piece of music, literature, or art for instance wants you to ask for their permission, then respect their request.
-Using frequent racist, sexist, homophobic or hateful language. That's considered as flaming. Flaming is the same thing as trolling that's not encouraged.
-Posting Not Safe for Work Material without warning. This includes pornography and offensive images, even when you just think it's funny. (Not everyone has the same sense of humor.) There are pornography sites scattered out onto the web. If you're going to share those things, do that over there! Thanks. Sharing porn on the boards in public is probably something to avoid entirely. I'd like this to be a PG or PG-13 rated forum. There might be very young members who will come and post on this forum. Let's try to set a good example for them. Let's not upset their parents either.
-Linking to viruses, referral sites, or maliciously coded websites either in your signature or in your post. That won't get you any warning if done on purpose. You'll just be banned. No, hell no, I don't want malicious spyware, virus, or malware link on my online community.
-Posting with an alternate account when banned. Both accounts will be banned and removed.
-Posting any member's real life information without permission. That's harassment, and not something I'll allow.
-Impersonating Administrators, Moderators, or forum regulars, and being crude about it. That's not cool at all. Don't do that. Confusing the other members in this manner will not go unnoticed!
-Bumping any old topic without a good reason and new information. If there's neither, then it will be considered as spam. The topic might get locked.
-Remaking or complaining about a locked or deleted thread by creating a new thread. I trust the moderators I'll have to delete threads for good reasons. If you don't understand their reasons, send them a PM.
-Pointing out what needs to be deleted, banned, locked or destroyed within a topic. That gets a little annoying, not just for myself and staff. Other members might feel the same way. If you wish to let us know about a topic that should be removed or locked, do so by PM! State your good reasons why if needed, and be nice about that. (We all have lives, after all.) To end on a positive note, that would be really nice for members to let the forum staff know about problematic threads and members in this way.
-L33t speak and ALL CAPS POSTING when replying or putting up a new topic, for that's a little annoying to see. Communicate clearly and considerably.
-Flooding the forums with advertisements, most especially not in the correct board. On the Advertise board, again, please be considerate towards the other people who want to advertise their sites!
-Recreating threads that have been created recently. If you don't see it on the board and post a topic similar to that by mistake, please be prompt remove it. Less threads about the same thing helps the staff. Clean up your own mistake so we don't have to is very much appreciated.
-Making stats threads. Most don't really care about that. If you want to post your stats, do so on your signature or personal text on your Mini-Profile.
When receiving a warning, you get one. Only one. If you deliberately keep abusing the rules, you will not be allowed to participate in anything around here. I'd like to come by and check these boards often, and not see a bunch of disputes and intolerable activity among members. I'm not asking a whole lot here. Just treat people the way you want to be treated, and please, have some common sense.
The main reason I put this forum up is to connect with those who like my music and artwork, as well as provide a cool place for some of my friends who would like to come and by and hang out. I also want to provide a place that welcomes other musicians, artists, writers, and other creative people. This is something extra special to add onto my already special website, which I like a lot. I'd like to keep this forum, and not have to remove it due to a bunch of people being immature and mean.
If you've read it up to this paragraph, I thank you! I greatly appreciate it. This thread was a bit tedious of me to write, but putting it up is necessary, especially for those that are new at posting on message boards. Have a good one, and see you around! Explore all you like, and introduce yourself. Be friendly to all the friendly people.
