Tell me, tell me! I'm curious.
Two weeks ago, my mom and I bought 3 games; Treasures and Traps, Queen's Necklace, and Meow! I love them, and I'm positive that my mom does too. So far, we've introduced Treasures and Traps and Meow to some of our friends in our gaming group. Just the two of us have tried Queen's Necklace once.
Meow is a cute bluffing and elimination card game, and plays 2 to 9 players. It's basically similar to the classic game with regular cards, known as BS. Each time you draw a card, you say "meow". There are Meow cards, and then there are Not Meow cards. To win, you want to try and catch someone who has at least one Not Meow. At any time, doesn't matter if it's your turn or not, you can challenge someone to reveal their hand. If you're right, then the person with the Not Meow(s) is out of the game. If they don't have any, then you're out of the game. The last person remaining wins.
Treasures and Traps is awesome! Years ago, one of our friends introduced this to Mom and me. We both loved it, and finally found it at one of the places that has a wide selection of board games. It's a card and dice game. The goal is to collect one of each kind of treasure card (gold, silver, and bronze). There are these other cards too; some that will help you win, some that will help you win and screw up your opponents at the same time, and even a few that are nasty bad news to everyone. (plays 2 to 6 people)
As for Queen's Necklace... The goal is to have the most victory points at the very end of the game. You're collecting gems and accessories to make jewelry, while purchasing for character cards that will help you be successful. There are three rounds. The merchant cards signal the end of those rounds. There is one card that delays a merchant card from coming, but that's an optional card to play. It's an interesting strategy game. Mom and I tried this out once. We've yet to introduce this one to our gaming group. (2 to 4 players)
NOTE: You don't have to describe your board games. That's optional! I like board games a lot, and I'm a very sharing person in general.
